Head coach Kim Sang Sik openly discussed the Vietnam U23 team and the overseas Vietnamese midfielder Trần Thành Trung, who has just been called up to prepare for the 2026 AFC U23 Asian Cup qualifiers.

"My analysis team and I have researched overseas Vietnamese players competing abroad, including Thành Trung. In the upcoming training camp, I will examine and monitor him more closely. I want to thank LPBank’s leadership and Ninh Bình FC for bringing Thành Trung back to play. We need more talented overseas Vietnamese players to contribute to our homeland.

On the afternoon of August 26, at the Vietnam Football Federation headquarters, the official announcement was made that Lộc Phát Vietnam Bank (LPBank) has become the main partner of the 2026 AFC U23 Asian Cup Qualifiers – Group C, hosted by Vietnam.

LPBank representative Mr. Bùi Thái Hà – Vice Chairman of the Board – stated: "LPBank’s decision to become the main partner of Group C – 2026 AFC U23 qualifiers stems from our confidence in the potential and determination of Vietnam’s young players. We aim to collaborate with VFF to promote the spirit of fair play and provide motivation for the Vietnam U23 team to confidently secure a place in the final tournament."
