All referees successfully completed the fitness test.

All referees and assistant referees participating in the second training phase of the fitness test fulfilled the criteria.

On the afternoon of August 26th, at Thong Nhat Stadium (Ho Chi Minh City), referees and assistant referees attending the second training session organized jointly by the Vietnam Football Federation and VPF Company took part in the fitness test. This test is mandatory before each new season. At this session, all referees and assistant referees successfully met the fitness requirements.

The test included 28 referees and 36 assistant referees. They underwent FIFA-standard fitness assessments under strict supervision by instructors from the Vietnam Football Federation's Referee Committee. The result was that 100% of referees and assistants passed the fitness test. Those who passed will be assigned duties in the 2025/2026 National Professional Football Leagues.

Prior to this, from August 20th, the organizing committee and the Medical Department of the Vietnam Football Federation held a meeting to review all preparations for the referees and assistant referees before the training. Special attention was given to professional matters related to fitness testing, including verification of health records, electrocardiogram results, cardiovascular and respiratory function, as well as other health examinations and specialized tests.

Additionally, the organizers arranged four ambulances equipped with full medical supplies as required, along with a team of doctors and emergency nurses. Referees were also warned about abnormal signs during the fitness test to proactively stop the test if conditions were not met.

Besides fitness testing, the training program provided an opportunity for referee supervisors and referees to analyze and learn from the past season, update competition rules, tournament regulations, and the organization of national professional football competitions, as well as to complete theoretical and practical assessments.

The training program for referee supervisors and referees of the 2025/2026 National Professional Football Leagues (second phase) took place from August 24th to 27th in Ho Chi Minh City. The first phase was held earlier in Hanoi in early August.
