Coach Vu Hong Viet pointed out numerous challenges Thep Xanh Nam Dinh has faced from the beginning of the season.
Returning to their home ground at Thien Truong, Thep Xanh Nam Dinh managed to regain their winning spirit by staging a comeback to defeat PVF-CAND 2-1: “First of all, I must praise the Nam Dinh players for their effort until the final minutes. In fact, we performed much better compared to the match against SLNA in round 2. However, Nam Dinh is still struggling with finishing, missing many chances that were not converted well. Hopefully, during the upcoming break, we can improve this aspect.”
Nevertheless, the two-time champion coach remains concerned about the challenges ahead. According to Coach Vu Hong Viet, Nam Dinh still shows a major weakness in defense:
“Nam Dinh’s defense has often been unfocused recently, especially against weaker teams who concentrate all efforts on attack, making our defense vulnerable. This is an issue I must pay close attention to and work on improving soon.”
Additionally, the attack line is also causing headaches for Coach Vu Hong Viet:“Nam Dinh currently has many injured players such as Xuan Son, Van Toan, and recently Tuan Anh, Hong Duy, Van Dat, whose return dates are still uncertain. This situation is affecting the team’s playing style and is a big concern for me.”, he said.
“Nevertheless, the remaining players are working hard to prove themselves, and the foreign players are also trying to fill the gaps left by the injured members. Hopefully, everything will stabilize soon,” Coach Vu Hong Viet added.
