Reporter Chen Yong reports On December 2, the Chinese Football Association announced the first batch of clubs that have completed debt repayment, and among the 54 clubs, 41 are on the list and 13 are not on the list. This announcement is not a decision on the admission of clubs, and clubs that have not entered the announcement still have three to four weeks to solve their own problems in order to complete the access.
The list of completed debt repayment this time includes 16 Chinese Super League clubs, 16 Chinese League A clubs, 20 Chinese League B clubs and 2 Chinese Super League B clubs participating in the Chinese Second League in the theoretical 2025 season, a total of 54 clubs.
There are 41 clubs or teams on the list, namely 13 Chinese Super League clubs, 10 Chinese League A clubs, as well as 16 Chinese Super League B clubs and 2 Chinese Super League club B teams. There are 13 clubs that are not on the list, that is, there are 3 Chinese Super League clubs: Changchun Yatai, Wuhan Three Towns and Cangzhou Lions; There are 6 clubs in the Chinese League: Meizhou Hakka, Guangzhou, Guangxi Pingguo Hayi, Nanjing City, Yanbian Longding and Heilongjiang Bingcheng; There are 4 clubs in the second division: Jiangxi Lushan, Hunan Xiangtao, Ganzhou Ruishi and Tai'an Tianzhen.
The Chinese Football Association has clear provisions on the scope of this debt settlement: arrears of remuneration of relevant personnel, arrears between clubs, arrears between clubs and youth training institutions, arrears of disciplinary fines, etc., and debts outside the football industry are not within the scope of this access review. Domestic dispute cases that have been decided or mediated before October 31, 2024 will be included in the scope of this access review, and cases decided after October 31 will be included in the scope of the next year's access review.
The three Chinese Super League clubs that have not entered the public list, Cangzhou Lions, have not been in good economic condition in recent years, and have never had a smooth relationship with the local area in the four years since they moved to Cangzhou, so the club has borne a relatively heavy economic pressure, and in the past few years, they have also been involved in danger, and in the 2023 season and the 2024 season, there have been cases where the season has not ended and foreign aid has left. For Cangzhou Lions, it is urgent to solve the problem of access, and more importantly, to solve the problem of survival and development. According to some sources, the club and the local community are also in close communication, hoping that everything can be properly resolved, not only for access, but also for survival and development.
As former Chinese Super League champions, Wuhan Three Towns have had serious financial problems this season. They don't have much of a historical debt baggage, but from 2023 onwards, the club will start to have salary arrears. In the FIFA registration ban disclosure system, which was routinely updated on December 2, there are as many as 11 bans in the three towns of Wuhan, while the Cangzhou Lions have four. What's more, the current direction of the development of Wuhan Three Towns is unknown, this year the club has promised to pay off the arrears twice, but in the end failed to fulfill the promise, resulting in a lack of confidence in the club - this is actually the reason why many clubs that also have salary arrears have been recognized by players and entered the publicity, and Wuhan Three Towns did not enter the first list. At present, the Three Towns Club cannot even find a "principal" to communicate and negotiate with the players about this. For them, it is the key to smooth the share reform and find a path for their own survival and development.
As for Yatai, it has been very stable in the past, and this time it was not publicized to the expectations of many fans, and the main reason for not getting the announcement is that there are players who have not signed, but the club is full of confidence in access.
On the one hand, the club has a wide fan base, on the other hand, after more than 10 years of development, Evergrande Football School has been emerging talents, such as the 08 national youth with excellent performance, and the most selected international players are Evergrande Football School. The core problem of Evergrande Football School is the problem of historical baggage, but the existing players are not in arrears.
Meizhou Hakka was relegated from the Chinese Super League this season, and in the 2024 season, Meizhou Hakka has completed preparations and competed in the Chinese Super League with the support of all parties.
Although there are as many as 13 clubs that have not been included in the public list for completing liquidation, in fact, there are more clubs that owe wages, but many club players are full of confidence in the club, and finally signed after negotiation. In addition, although 41 clubs have entered the publicity, it does not mean that they will necessarily be admitted, during the publicity period, the Chinese Football Association said: "If the relevant creditors have objections to the list of clubs listed in Article 1 of this notice, they can submit relevant materials to the Chinese Football Association, and the Chinese Football Association will deal with them in a timely manner according to the materials received." ”
It should be noted that the publicity period has 3 working days, that is, from December 3 to 5, if there is any objection to the publicity, you need to submit materials to the Chinese Football Association for appeal within three working days. For the majority of players, if the club does have financial difficulties but has enough sincerity to solve the problem, it can naturally be resolved through negotiation. But the players also need to keep their eyes peeled and not give the club a chance to get by, which will lead to an increase in their own salary arrears and an indefinite amount of cash.
