SHB Đà Nẵng, Thép Xanh Nam Định, Thể Công Viettel, and Hà Nội are the four teams that earned the right to compete in the semifinals of the 2025 U17 National Championship final round.
On the afternoon of September 22, the quarterfinal matches of the U17 National Championship final round took place, confirming the four semifinalists as SHB Đà Nẵng, Thép Xanh Nam Định, Thể Công Viettel, and Hà Nội.
The match between PVF-CAND and Hà Nội was considered evenly matched. PVF-CAND started strong when Nguyễn Du scored a header in the 8th minute to give his team the lead. Facing pressure, defending champions Hà Nội pushed forward. From a corner kick in the 15th minute, Văn Tấn equalized with a header, making it 1-1. This goal boosted Hà Nội’s momentum, and at the 35th minute, Nguyễn Lực scored a curling free kick from 25 meters, putting Hà Nội ahead 2-1.
In the second half, PVF-CAND increased their attacking efforts while Hà Nội played more cautiously to protect their goal. Ultimately, coach Cristiano Roland’s team won 2-1 to advance to the semifinals.
Hà Nội’s opponent in the semifinals is SHB Đà Nẵng, who defeated An Giang 5-4 in a penalty shootout after a 0-0 draw in regular time. During the two halves, SHB Đà Nẵng controlled the game, but An Giang’s disciplined defense and some unlucky finishes meant the match was decided by penalties, allowing SHB Đà Nẵng to progress to the semifinals.
The match between SLNA and Thép Xanh Nam Định featured an exciting back-and-forth scoreline. SLNA took the lead in the 10th minute with a skillful shot by Viết Duy. However, just two minutes later, Văn Tuân scored a beautiful free kick to equalize for Nam Định. The game continued with both teams exchanging chances. At the 37th minute, SLNA regained the lead after Minh Thùy scored from a chaotic situation. Before halftime ended, Nam Hải executed a clever lob to level the score 2-2 for Thép Xanh Nam Định.
Conceding a goal just before halftime forced SLNA to increase the pressure in the second half. However, missed opportunities cost them dearly. In a swift counterattack in the 89th minute, Văn Tuân fired a direct shot to score the decisive goal, securing a 3-2 victory for Thép Xanh Nam Định and a place in the semifinals.
Thép Xanh Nam Định’s semifinal opponent is Thể Công Viettel. After a goalless first half, both Ho Chi Minh City Football Club and Thể Công Viettel intensified their play in the second half. In the 69th minute, Chi Dân broke through on the left wing and unleashed a powerful shot to put Ho Chi Minh City FC ahead. But in the 73rd minute, Đức Nguyên headed in an equalizer for Thể Công. Then, in the 82nd minute, the substitute player scored a decisive goal inside the box, sealing a 2-1 win for his team.
