Coach Polking defends Nguyễn Filip after his mistakes

Alexandre Polking, head coach of CAHN, publicly defended goalkeeper Nguyễn Filip despite recent doubts surrounding his performance.

"There were a few instances where Nguyễn Filip lost concentration, but that is something unavoidable and normal in football. After the match, I spoke with him and gave feedback. I have no doubts about his caliber. In my view, Nguyễn Filip remains CAHN’s first-choice goalkeeper and ranks among the top in the national team at present," Coach Polking stated at noon on September 23 during the pre-match press conference for CAHN’s second group stage match in the 2025/26 Southeast Asian Club Championship Group A.
