Nam Dinh’s coach highly praises the Cambodian team at the Southeast Asian Cup

The entire squad remains determined to secure a victory against PKR Svay Rieng (Cambodia) in the opening match of Group B at the Southeast Asian Club Championship – Shopee Cup 2025/26.

On the afternoon of September 24, coach Vu Hong Viet along with center-back Lucas Araujo attended the press conference ahead of the match against Svay Rieng club in the opening round of the Shopee Cup 2025/26.

At the start of the conference, the Vietnamese strategist commented: “Svay Rieng is a tough opponent; they have many quality foreign players, especially two forwards who are currently in excellent form. Nevertheless, our goal is to earn 3 points in the opening game.”

Additionally, coach Vu Hong Viet expressed his gratitude to the Thanh Nam supporters: “We deeply appreciate the fans’ affection for the team. Whether playing away or at home, Nam Dinh supporters always cheer enthusiastically. This is a great source of motivation for the players to perform with determination on the field. On behalf of the team, I want to extend my thanks to all the fans.”

Regarding himself, center-back Lucas Araujo (number 4) shared: “We had limited preparation time due to a tight schedule, but we thoroughly analyzed Svay Rieng. The whole team values unity, follows the tactics strictly, and aims to win through offensive play. The defense must stay fully focused to maintain solidity, but the most important thing is to achieve victory.”

The match between Nam Dinh Club and PKR Svay Rieng will take place at 19:30 on September 25 at Thien Truong Stadium.
