Vietnamese youth team defeated the Chinese representative 4-0 in the tournament held in South Korea.

Today (September 24), Vietnam U18 achieved a 4-0 victory over Zhejiang U18 (China) at the Seoul EOU Cup 2025.

In the final group stage match of the Seoul EOU Cup 2025, Vietnam U18 defeated Zhejiang U18 (China). From the whistle, Vietnam U18 took an attacking stance, while their opponents focused on a heavily defensive strategy.

In the 7th minute, Vietnam U18 opened the scoring as Nguyễn Thiên Phú leapt to head the ball, leaving the opposing goalkeeper helpless. By the 23rd minute, Đậu Hồng Phong delivered a precise shot inside the opponent’s box to double the lead.

At the 63rd minute, a Zhejiang U18 defender made a poor pass in their own half. Lê Phát intercepted the ball and shot from near the penalty area edge to increase the score to 3-0. In the following minutes, Vietnam U18 continued to dominate, while the opponents struggled to create scoring opportunities.

In the 82nd minute, after Lê Phát’s shot hit the crossbar, Nguyễn Thành Long quickly followed up to score, confirming the 4-0 win. Overall, Vietnam U18 finished with 3 points, ranking third in Group A, having scored 5 goals and conceded 6.

Vietnam U18’s performance showed clear improvement in their game organization, while also providing valuable experiences that help young players gain confidence and international match experience, adding to their preparation for upcoming official tournaments.

The Seoul EOU Cup 2025 takes place from September 21 to 28 in Seoul. This year’s competition includes 8 strong youth teams: Vietnam U18, Seoul FA (Seoul’s top U18 selection), K League U18 All Star (K League’s U18 selection), Gangneung Jungang High School – current champions of the Korean High School League, Kanto University (Japan), Johor Darul Ta'zim U18 (Malaysia), Buriram United U18 (Thailand), and Zhejiang U18 (China).
