Thirteen teams have confirmed their passage through qualifiers, earning their spots at the 2026 Asian Futsal Championship finals in Indonesia.
Australia (Group A), along with Thailand (Group B), four-time champions Japan (Group C), Vietnam (Group E), Kyrgyz Republic (Group F), reigning and 13-time champions Iran (Group G), and Afghanistan (Group H) will all compete in the Asian futsal finals as well as the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in Indonesia.
However, the full list of 15 teams qualifying alongside host Indonesia for the 2026 Asian futsal finals is not yet finalized. This is because Group D’s qualifiers are scheduled later, from October 18 to 22, featuring Iraq, Saudi Arabia as hosts, Chinese Taipei, and Pakistan.
Seven more spots are reserved for the best runner-up teams across the eight groups, including Kuwait (Group A), South Korea (Group B), Tajikistan (Group C), Lebanon (Group E), Uzbekistan (Group F), Malaysia (Group G), and Myanmar (Group H), each finishing second in their respective groups.
Currently, in the ranking of the best second-place teams, Myanmar is ranked 7th out of 8 with 3 points and a -4 goal difference. Myanmar will qualify for the 2026 Asian Futsal Championship finals if, after Group D completes, their record surpasses that of the runner-up in Group D, and vice versa. When comparing second-placed teams, results against the bottom team are excluded due to some groups having three teams and others four.
A total of 31 national teams are participating in the 2026 Asian Futsal Championship qualifiers, divided into 8 groups: seven groups of four teams and one group of three teams. Teams will compete in a single round-robin format, earning points to determine rankings, hosted by the countries organizing each group.
The eight group winners plus the seven best second-placed teams will earn the right to compete in the 2026 Asian Futsal Championship finals held in Indonesia in January 2026. As hosts, Indonesia automatically qualifies for the finals without participating in the qualifiers.
