Positive development for Arsenal, meaning Real Madrid no longer needs to monitor closely. British media The Times reports that Arsenal has agreed on a contract extension with their key defender Saliba, prolonging the agreement until 2030 and raising his weekly pay to €250,000. Should Saliba finalize this renewal, Real Madrid will have to turn their attention to Liverpool’s Konaté and Crystal Palace’s Guehi.

It is reported that to prevent Saliba from being poached by Real Madrid and other top clubs in the five major leagues, Arsenal has expedited the contract extension with the French center-back. His current contract runs until 2027 with a weekly wage of £190,000. The new deal will extend his contract by three years until 2030, increasing his weekly salary to £250,000.

In addition, Arsenal is also set to renew Saka’s contract, raising his weekly wage from the current £195,000 to €300,000, making him the highest-paid player in the Arsenal squad.
Within Arsenal, Rice and Havertz both earn over £200,000 per week, with Rice at £240,000 weekly and Havertz reaching as high as £280,000. Compared to them, Gabriel’s £150,000 weekly wage appears relatively low. Martinelli’s weekly pay is already £180,000.
