Lâm Ti Phông was awarded the title of best player in the game between Nam Định and Svay Rieng on September 25, scoring twice.
On the evening of September 25, after scoring two goals against Svay Rieng FC (Cambodia), striker Lâm Ti Phông received the 'Man of the Match' award, as voted by the Shopee Cup organizers.
After the match, the player from Thép Xanh Nam Định stated: "Svay Rieng is a tough opponent with many skilled foreign and naturalized players, especially number 98 (Patrick Monteiro). However, our team studied their style carefully and prepared well, which helped us secure the win. The coaching staff devised a detailed strategy combined with the team's strong fighting spirit, which was the key to today's victory."

After his brace at the end of the first half, Lâm Ti Phông had to leave the field early in the second half due to a collision with an opposing player. He suffered an injury near his eye and had to be bandaged. Nevertheless, the 1996-born striker said the injury was not serious:
"I am stable after that collision. It was a good match that showed the team's brave spirit. Even though we were short-handed in the second half, we fought hard and protected the win. Despite playing three matches in one week, the team prepared the personnel carefully and managed energy well, so no serious problems occurred.", Lâm Ti Phông shared.
With their first 3 points, Thép Xanh Nam Định climbed to second place in Group B with 3 points, behind Johor Darul Tazim FC (Malaysia) but having played one less match. In the next round, coach Vũ Hồng Việt's team will visit Shan United FC (Myanmar).
