(Football results) - In the early hours of September 27, Cristiano Ronaldo and his teammates secured a remarkable win over Al Ittihad during the 4th round of the 2025/26 Saudi Pro League.
Entering what was considered the biggest match of the SPL season so far, both teams had won all three of their previous games, maintaining a perfect 100% record, which heightened the tension of this already classic Asian rivalry.
In Jeddah, a passionate crowd fueled the reigning champions. Al-Ittihad started energetically but failed to break through the opponent’s defense even once.

At the 9th minute, Al Nassr unexpectedly took the lead in a spectacular fashion. Kingsley Coman delivered a cross from the right wing, and Sadio Mané appeared perfectly timed to unleash a fierce volley at the far post, leaving goalkeeper Predrag Rajkovic helpless.
Both teams kept exchanging attacks, but 10 minutes before halftime, Mané made another impact by crossing from the left flank for Cristiano Ronaldo to rise high and head the ball into the net, doubling Al Nassr’s advantage.
From that moment on, despite Al-Ittihad’s efforts to press forward, the game remained dominated by one side. Ronaldo nearly scored again with a low shot right after his goal, but the score stayed unchanged until the final whistle. Ultimately, Al Nassr claimed victory, securing sole possession of first place with a three-point lead.

This was also the last round before the league pauses to make way for international fixtures, where the Saudi Arabia national team will face Indonesia and Iraq, with a spot at the 2026 World Cup awaiting them.
