(Football results) - Harry Kane netted a brace and became the quickest player to reach 100 goals in history as Bayern Munich crushed Werder Bremen 4-0.
Bayern Munich continued to showcase their overwhelming strength in the Bundesliga by comfortably defeating Werder Bremen 4-0 at Allianz Arena in the fifth round. Harry Kane was the highlight, scoring twice and making history as the fastest player to reach 100 goals for the “Red Giants.”
After a midweek break, Bayern entered the match relaxed yet highly determined. From the opening minutes, the home team relentlessly pressed Bremen with aggressive attacking play, forcing their opponents into a defensive shell.

Goalkeeper Karl Hein made several impressive saves, helping Bremen hold on for over 20 minutes. However, Bayern’s intense pressure eventually broke the deadlock. In the 22nd minute, from a cross by Michael Olise, Jonathan Tah’s slight touch caused the ball to deflect off Luis Díaz and go straight into the net, opening the scoring.
Hein kept Bremen’s hopes alive with more outstanding saves, but near the end of the first half, all their efforts were undone. In the 44th minute, Bayern earned a penalty, and Harry Kane calmly converted it, doubling the lead. This goal brought Kane closer to the 100-goal mark after just over two seasons with the Bavarian club.
After halftime, Bayern eased their tempo, but Kane’s sharpness still made the difference. The English striker scored again, officially reaching 100 goals in 104 appearances—faster than both Erling Haaland at Manchester City and Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid. This milestone cements Kane’s class and influence in Bayern’s quest for titles.

Not stopping there, Konrad Laimer capped off a perfect day for the “Red Giants” by scoring the final goal to seal a 4-0 victory in the last minute.
This is Bayern’s fifth consecutive win in the Bundesliga, raising their total goals scored to 22 after five rounds. Except for a hard-fought 3-2 win over Augsburg, other opponents have failed to pose any significant challenge to coach Vincent Kompany’s squad.
Meanwhile, Bremen had little expectation of earning points in this match. Although goalkeeper Karl Hein tried hard, their defense could not withstand Bayern’s relentless attacks. Still, coach Horst Steffen could find some positive signs to build on for upcoming matches.
With their current form, Bayern proves they remain the top contender for the Bundesliga title. The real test for Kompany’s team will come next weekend when they visit Eintracht Frankfurt.
