Interim coach Yusuke Adachi trusts that the win against Thanh Hoa will energize Hanoi FC and possibly allow them to rejoin the championship contention.
Following a series of draws and losses, Hanoi FC finally secured their first win of the season against Thanh Hoa.
The Capital team performed poorly in the first half, conceding an early goal. However, in the second half, Hanoi transformed their play, dominated the opponent, and came back to win 2-1.
After the match, interim coach Yusuke Adachi commented that conceding early was not a major issue for Hanoi FC, though defensive improvements are still needed.
“Conceding early isn’t a big problem because we still had enough time to execute our planned strategy. Of course, it would be better if we could avoid conceding so early.”
Additionally, he affirmed that Hanoi is fully capable of returning to the title race as this is still the early stage of the season.
“We created many scoring opportunities, despite initially struggling against Thanh Hoa’s style. Once we adapted to the game’s rhythm, things became easier. Hanoi players never lost confidence. If the team keeps performing like this, that confidence will turn into belief. With consistent positive results, the team will regain faith in their ability to compete for the championship,” Coach Adachi emphasized.
Meanwhile, midfielder Hai Long shared that this victory helped Hanoi FC relieve a lot of pressure.
He expressed: “We entered this match feeling quite pressured. But fortunately, we fought together and, most importantly, secured the 3 points as planned. This is a very important win for Hanoi FC in the upcoming journey.”
In the next round, Hanoi FC will travel to Da Nang for an away match on October 1st.
