Amorim: "I have a vision for Manchester United"

Coach Ruben Amorim expressed some contentious opinions about Man Utd before the Round 6 Premier League match against Brentford.

During the pre-match press conference ahead of the 6:30 PM kickoff today, September 27th,when asked about the key to building stability at Man Utd, Coach Amorim responded: "Honestly, I have an idea for Man Utd, but I don’t know exactly how it will unfold, and I am the team’s coach."

According to media reports, Amorim’s answer was humorous and even self-deprecating.

Coach Ruben Amorim also revealed that Man Utd will be missing four key players, three of whom started in the win against Chelsea.

Specifically, he stated: "I believe Lisandro Martinez won’t be available. Casemiro is suspended due to a red card. Amad is absent due to a family bereavement, and we fully support and allow him time to be with his family. The rest of the squad is fit and ready to play.

Mazraoui is also unavailable. He won’t return until after the international break, so he will be absent for now."

For Amorim personally, this is an opportunity to achieve back-to-back wins with the "Red Devils" in the Premier League since arriving at Old Trafford last November.

Therefore, the 40-year-old manager insists that every upcoming match is like "a final" for Man Utd, focusing only on each game without thinking too far ahead.

Amorim added: "I’m not saying we haven’t played well, because the team has done so this season. But it’s understandable that fans are worried since they don’t know what will happen next match. Honestly, I have ideas, but even as the coach, I can’t be certain what will happen. This is the result of the tough period we’ve endured over the past months. So, the best way to face it is to treat every game as a final.

We cannot think beyond that. It’s true that the remaining matches for Manchester United are limited, but each game holds special significance for the club. The next match will be the most important for a long time. I understand the fans’ feelings, and we need to start changing that by going onto the pitch with urgency and maximum determination."

Currently, Man Utd sits 11th in the standings with seven points. A win over Brentford would propel the "Red Devils" up to fourth place, easing the pressure on Coach Ruben Amorim’s position.

The Brentford vs. Man Utd match will kick off at 6:30 PM tonight (September 27).
