The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has just announced ticket sales for two matches in the final round of the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers between Vietnam and Nepal, scheduled for October in Ho Chi Minh City.
According to the schedule, the first leg between Vietnam and Nepal will take place at 7:30 PM on October 9, 2025, at Gò Đậu Stadium (Thủ Dầu Một, Ho Chi Minh City). Five days later, at 7:30 PM on October 14, 2025, the two teams will meet again for the second leg at Thống Nhất Stadium (Ho Chi Minh City).
The organizers have set two ticket prices: 200,000 VND and 400,000 VND per ticket. These prices are the same as those for the Vietnam vs Laos match held in March earlier this year. Tickets will be available both online and at physical counters.
The Vietnam Football Federation will conduct two sales phases. Phase 1 runs from 9:00 AM on September 29, 2025, to 11:59 PM on October 5, 2025. Fans can purchase tickets for both the first leg on October 9 at Gò Đậu Stadium and the second leg on October 14 at Thống Nhất Stadium simultaneously. Phase 2 starts at midnight on October 6 and ends at 11:59 PM on October 7, exclusively selling tickets for the second leg between Nepal and Vietnam on October 14.
Early ticket sales are expected to help fans better plan their schedules while creating an enthusiastic atmosphere to support Coach Kim Sang Sik’s team in the final round of the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers.
Regarding Vietnam’s group in the 2027 Asian Cup, the Malaysian Football Association and seven naturalized players recently received heavy sanctions from FIFA’s Disciplinary Committee for falsifying and forging registration documents.
Specifically, the Malaysian Football Association submitted eligibility verification documents to FIFA that contained altered papers to register seven players—Gabriel Felipe Arrocha, Facundo Tomás Garcés, Rodrigo Julián Holgado, Imanol Javier Machuca, João Vitor Brandão Figueiredo, Jon Irazábal Iraurgui, and Hector Alejandro Hevel Serrano—who participated in Malaysia’s 4-0 victory over Vietnam on June 10.
According to FIFA, Malaysia has the right to appeal. If the appeal fails, it is highly likely that Malaysia will forfeit the matches against Nepal and Vietnam.
AFC officially comments on Malaysia’s illegal naturalization case Datuk Seri Windsor Paul, Secretary General of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), has provided official information regarding FIFA’s sanctions on the Malaysian Football Association and seven illegally naturalized players. See more
