Nuno Espirito Santo has taken over the managerial position at West Ham United.
Recently, West Ham United announced the appointment of Nuno Espirito Santo as their new manager. The Portuguese tactician will lead the team at the Olympic Stadium on a three-year contract.
On his first day with the club, Coach Nuno Santo expressed great happiness and clearly stated his goals for the upcoming period with his players.
He said: "I am truly delighted to be here and extremely proud to manage West Ham United. My aim is to give my all to maximize the collective strength of the team and help maintain a high level of competitiveness. The journey has begun, and I am eagerly looking forward to the challenges ahead."
The Portuguese manager joined the London club after building an impressive coaching career. Last season, he helped Nottingham Forest secure a spot in European competition by finishing seventh in the Premier League and led the team to the FA Cup semi-finals.
However, conflicts with the City Ground management led to the 51-year-old coach being dismissed after just three Premier League matches this season.
Notably, the decision to appoint Nuno Santo came only hours after the club's leadership dismissed Graham Potter following a poor run of results since the start of the season. The Hammers suffered four defeats and managed only one win, currently sitting second from bottom in the league standings.
With Nuno Santo, the Portuguese coach now has the opportunity to demonstrate his managerial skills as he and his new squad prepare for an away match against Everton in the sixth round of the Premier League.
