HAGL's young players are absent from the V-League due to academic commitments.

Midfielder Trần Gia Bảo was not included by HAGL in the squad list for round 5 of the LPBank V-League 2025/26 due to health concerns and academic scheduling conflicts.

HAGL’s coach Lê Quang Trãi stated: "Gia Bảo has been unlucky with health issues, so we did not register him for today’s match. More importantly, he is busy with his studies, and we are providing the opportunity for him to focus on education.

We are always prepared to offer V-League playing chances to young players. Once they are of eligible age and have completed their academic studies, we will allow them to serve the first team, as seen with Gia Bảo and Quang Kiệt. Both have the potential to contribute to HAGL and Vietnamese football, so we want to give them the chance to play early. This is the leadership’s direction, and we will continue to utilize many young talents."

In the draw against PVF-CAND, HAGL failed to score but still secured one point. Coach Trãi commented:

"The team created numerous chances to score. It’s unfortunate that if Jairo had been more precise with his finishing, we would have scored. From my viewpoint, HAGL’s scoring opportunities in this match were noticeably better."

Gia Bảo, born in 2008 in Lâm Đồng and standing 1.80 meters tall, is familiar to fans after being registered by Technical Director Vũ Tiến Thành and Coach Lê Quang Trãi to play in the 2024/25 V-League season and continuing into the 2025/26 season.

Meanwhile, PVF-CAND’s coach Thạch Bảo Khanh said: "This can be considered our best match of the season so far. The players controlled the game, coordinated well, and created many chances. Of course, it’s disappointing not to convert those chances into goals, but the positive aspect is that we kept a clean sheet for the first time, showing clear defensive improvement.

We fully dominated the game today, especially in the second half. The next step to improve is finishing. With this confidence, I believe we fear no opponent. Not only Thanh Nhàn but the entire team performed at a high level, entered the pitch with strong determination, and coordinated well. I am confident we will continue to progress in the coming matches."
