Coach Lê Quang Trãi stated that earning one point against PVF-CAND was the goal for HAGL, while also disclosing that Trần Gia Bảo missed the match due to academic obligations.
HAGL still hasn’t achieved their first victory in this season’s V-League. Playing away against PVF-CAND, the Mountain Town team engaged in a tightly contested match. They created several chances but failed to convert any into goals. Both sides had to settle for one point each.
Notably, HAGL has gone four consecutive rounds in the 2025/26 V.League season without scoring a single goal. Previously, their worst record was failing to score in the first three rounds of the 2022 V-League. Currently, HAGL ranks 13th, only ahead of Thanh Hóa on goal difference.
Although the results haven’t improved, Coach Lê Quang Trãi insisted that earning a point was HAGL’s objective against PVF-CAND.
“Even though we didn’t score, we secured one point, which was our goal. The entire team created opportunities to score. It’s unfortunate that if Jairo had finished accurately, we could have found the net. From my perspective, HAGL had clearer chances in this match.”
HAGL consistently provides chances for their young talents to play, and naturally, they have the youngest average squad age in the league. Coach Lê Quang Trãi shared that this is the club’s strategy:
“We are always ready to give young players opportunities to compete in the V-League. When they reach the right age and complete their academic studies, we promote them to the first team, as in the cases of Gia Bảo and Quang Kiệt. Both have the potential to contribute to HAGL and Vietnamese football, so we facilitate their early participation. This is the management’s direction and will continue.”
Additionally, Coach Lê Quang Trãi revealed details about the young striker Gia Bảo, who previously scored for HAGL in the National Cup. He missed the match due to health and schooling reasons: “Gia Bảo unfortunately faced health issues, so he wasn’t registered to play today. Moreover, he is still attending school, and we want to support him in continuing his education.”
