Following the loss to Đà Nẵng, Coach Anh Đức recognized the challenges he faces but remains unconcerned about losing his job at Becamex TPHCM.
Despite playing at home and scoring an early goal in the 4th minute, Becamex TPHCM ultimately suffered a comeback defeat to SHB Đà Nẵng. After their win against HAGL in the first round, this marks the fifth consecutive loss for the team from the Land of Fire.
Naturally, Coach Anh Đức is under significant pressure, and his position has become somewhat unstable. However, when asked about the possibility of being sacked, he confidently stated that he is not overly worried.
"When a team loses frequently, the head coach is obviously responsible. Since taking on this role, I have always hoped for the team to develop properly and have been ready to give my all, so I am not concerned about that matter. This is also not the right time to discuss such issues."
Regarding the loss to Đà Nẵng, Coach Anh Đức shared: "I regret that the whole team played well and created many chances. Football always requires a bit of luck, but today we didn’t have it, which led to our defeat. Nonetheless, I do not avoid responsibility; the head coach is the first to be accountable. I want to thank the fans for their continuous support because football inevitably goes through tough times, and we must overcome them. To win, the team needs to work harder. I don’t blame the players for this match because they tried their best but lacked luck. Moving forward, the team must improve its defense during training sessions. If we do that well, we will gradually get better."
At present, Becamex TPHCM is struggling near the relegation zone, holding the 12th position. In the upcoming round, Coach Anh Đức’s team will visit Thanh Hóa. The Thanh Hóa team has yet to secure a win and will be determined to defeat Becamex TPHCM. This will certainly be a challenging match for the visitors.
This season, Becamex TPHCM has faced many issues, from losing key players to rumors about instability in the locker room, which have prevented the team from focusing fully on their performance.
