Coach Lê Huỳnh Đức expressed satisfaction with Công an TPHCM’s 3-2 win against SLNA, yet he does not take the upcoming challenges lightly.
On the evening of September 27 at Vinh stadium, Công an TPHCM staged an impressive comeback against SLNA, ultimately securing a 3-2 win. Tiến Linh, Peter Makrillos, and Nguyễn Thái Quốc Cường were the scorers for the visiting team.
Sharing his feelings after earning the three points, Coach Huỳnh Đức said: “I feel very happy; the players showed great passion, demonstrated resilience, and embodied the unique spirit of Công an TPHCM club. They truly deserved this victory.”
Additionally, the police team’s coach praised the fighting spirit of SLNA players:
“SLNA’s young players competed fiercely, pressed tightly, and were not afraid of physical contact. They used some crafty tactics that caused us to commit many fouls. Conceding two early goals put us at a disadvantage, but the whole team stayed calm, adjusted tactics, and managed to score a goal before the first half ended.”
The three points gained at Vinh pushed Công an TPHCM temporarily to the top of the standings with 13 points. Nevertheless, Coach Lê Huỳnh Đức remains vigilant and cautious. He stated:
“We started preparing for the season quite late. Up to now, the players have performed very well. But football is a long journey; only by going through it all can you tell which team is truly good. We need a deeper squad to maintain our form. Currently, our substitutes are thin. Hopefully, in the near future, the players will improve and bond better.”
After round 5, Công an TPHCM will enter the FIFA Days break since they played an early match in round 6 on September 13 against Thép Xanh Nam Định. This period will allow Coach Lê Huỳnh Đức and his team to review past matches comprehensively and prepare optimally for important upcoming goals.
