HAGL must focus early on avoiding relegation
A goalless draw against the newcomer PVF-CAND in round 5 of the 2025/26 V-League wouldn't be disastrous if viewed in a more positive context. However, for Hoàng Anh Gia Lai (HAGL), it reflects a team that has lost its way.
After 5 rounds (HAGL has yet to play round 4 against CAHN), the Mountain Town clubhas not won a single match,failed to score any goals, conceded4 times, andonly has a mere 3 points, ranking13th out of 14 teams.
This is a worse performance than last season, when they also struggled to avoid relegation but still had 8 points after the first 4 rounds. This decline is no longer accidental but the result of a series of ongoing unresolved issues.
