The Ninh Binh coach commended Hai Phong Club following the 2-2 draw in the 5th round of the 2025/26 V-League.

Ninh Binh Club officially saw their winning streak in the 2025/26 V-League end after being held to a 2-2 draw by Hai Phong on the evening of September 28 at Lach Tray Stadium.

In the post-match press conference, coach Gerard Albadalejo gave special praise to the opponent: “I know that Hai Phong is a club that performs very well at home. They have not lost any matches and even won their last two games at Lach Tray.

We prepared strategies to counter Hai Phong, including lineup adjustments between Geovane and Gustavo to create different attacking options. However, towards the end of the first half, we conceded a goal that allowed Hai Phong to equalize.

In the second half, we managed to take the lead. However, after a not very dangerous play, we conceded again and the match ended in a 2-2 draw. I consider this a very open game between the two teams,”the Spanish strategist analyzed the match dynamics.

Although they did not win, the newcomer team still maintains an impressive unbeaten streak and holds the top position on the table with 13 points. In the next round, Ninh Binh will face another challenge when they return home to host Viettel The Cong Club – a team with strong squad depth and excellent form this season. Regarding the upcoming match, Mr. Albadalejo affirmed:

“I do not comment or evaluate the opponent. We focus only on our own team, concentrating on training sessions and playing each match with the highest spirit. After beating Nam Dinh, the players have shown no distraction at all. We continue to train and compete with respect for our opponents, humility, and aim to perform at our best on the field.”
