Đình Trọng confirms his eagerness to rejoin the Vietnam national team, stressing that he will strive wholeheartedly and play at his best to await a chance to be selected.
Hanoi Police (CAHN) caused a major upset in Round 5 of the 2025/26 V-League by defeating the reigning champions Nam Dinh 2-0 at Thien Truong Stadium. This victory not only confirmed CAHN's strength but also propelled them to second place in the standings, just behind the leader Ninh Binh on goal difference.
After the match, central defender Trần Đình Trọng expressed his satisfaction with the team’s collective performance: “Regarding the team's play, the coaching staff has clearly outlined the strategy from the start of the season. Nam Dinh is indeed a strong opponent and the defending champion, but when the whole team is united and plays to their ability, today we delivered a quite good performance.”
When asked about their chances of competing for the championship, Đình Trọng was modest but did not hide his ambition: “It’s only Round 5, so it’s too early to predict the final outcome. However, the whole team is very excited and aiming high to once again claim the championship title.”
The central defender born in 1997 also shared about his current form: “I think my physical condition is quite good now. As for skills, I leave it to the coaching staff and others to assess. I can only say that I am playing with stable fitness.”
When asked about his hopes of returning to the national team, Đình Trọng showed determination but also realistic awareness: “Every player wishes to wear the national team jersey. But currently, the team has many good central defenders, so I just try to play to my best ability. If called up, I will do my utmost to contribute.”
The victory at Thien Truong not only brought 3 crucial points but also boosted the confidence of the Hanoi Police coach and players in their quest for the championship this season. With a united spirit and excellent form, the police team is proving they can be a strong contender for the top title.
