AFC has issued an important announcement: U23 Vietnam is about to learn its opponents for the Asian Championship.

The group stage draw for the 2026 AFC U23 Asian Cup finals is scheduled for 14:00 on October 2, 2025 (Vietnam time) at the AFC headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, as announced recently by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

Specifically, according to the seeding principles, Saudi Arabia as the host nation is automatically placed in the first seed pot. The other 15 teams are allocated into four pots based on their results in the last three final tournaments, with a points coefficient applied: 100% for the 2024 edition, 50% for 2022, and 25% for 2020.
