Gerard Albadalejo, head coach of Ninh Bình Club, confirmed that Hải Phòng is a powerful team since his side had a tough time earning one point at Lạch Tray.
Recently, Ninh Bình Club’s winning streak in the V-League was broken. Playing away at Hải Phòng, the team from the Ancient Capital faced many challenges; despite taking an early lead, the match ended in a 2-2 draw.
After the game, Ninh Bình’s coach Gerard Albadalejo emphasized that Hải Phòng is a strong team: “I realize that Hải Phòng performs very well at home. They remain unbeaten and have even won their last two matches at Lạch Tray. We prepared strategies, adjusting our lineup between Geovane and Gustavo to create multiple attacking options. However, by the end of the first half, we allowed Hải Phòng to equalize. In the second half, we scored again to take the lead, but from a not very dangerous situation, we conceded a goal and finished the match 2-2. I believe it was an open game from both sides.”
Regarding the upcoming match against Thể Công - Viettel, a team currently in excellent form with a very challenging style of play, Mr. Albadalejo stressed: “I don’t comment or evaluate the opponent. What matters is that our team stays focused on ourselves, maintaining the highest level of training and competitive spirit in every match. After beating Nam Định, the players did not become complacent. We continue to train and compete with respect for our opponents and humility. The team will stick to the plan, aiming for the highest determination on the field.”
Currently, Ninh Bình leads the table with 13 points, tied with CAHN and Công an TPHCM but with a better goal difference. Their championship ambition will face many challenges as teams like CAHN, Nam Định, and Thể Công - Viettel are very strong and eager. The road ahead for Ninh Bình will be long.
