After the initial 4 rounds of the V-League, HAGL still hasn't managed to score, representing their poorest record.
HAGL is experiencing the worst start in their V-League history. In round 4 of the 2025/26 V-League, the Mountain Town team traveled to PVF-CAND’s stadium and could only secure a point with a goalless draw. Although the match was fairly balanced and HAGL created some dangerous chances, they failed to convert any into goals. This remains the biggest issue for coach Lê Quang Trãi's squad, as the offense lacks creativity and efficiency.
In fact, after 4 rounds, HAGL has yet to score a single goal, setting a disappointing scoring record. Previously, their worst was three consecutive matches without goals during the 2022 V-League season. With only 2 points from 4 rounds, HAGL currently ranks 13th, just above Thanh Hóa due to goal difference.
A major reason is that HAGL continues to suffer from a "loss of key players." Numerous mainstays like Minh Vương, Dụng Quang Nho, Châu Ngọc Quang, Trần Bảo Toàn, and Lê Văn Sơn have left the team, leaving a squad composed mainly of U23 young players mixed with a few foreign players. Although these young talents are considered promising, their top-level match experience is limited, resulting in inconsistency and immature decision-making.
Given the increasingly competitive nature of the V-League, HAGL is unlikely to improve immediately. The Mountain Town club needs more time to develop and gain experience for its young generation, while also hoping for timely breakthroughs from the foreign players. However, if their scoring ability does not improve soon, HAGL risks falling into a relegation battle early in the season.
