Seventeen-year-old Filipino-origin player Dro Fernandez is making waves at Barcelona.

Dro Fernández, a 17-year-old midfielder of Filipino descent trained at La Masia, recently made his official debut for Barcelona’s first team in the match against Real Sociedad on September 28 during La Liga’s seventh round. Trusted by coach Hansi Flick and wearing the number 27 jersey, he played the entire first half, impressing with his refined technique, sharp vision, and rare confidence. According to Sofascore, Dro had 32 touches, a 92% pass accuracy rate (24 out of 26), created 2 key passes, and successfully completed 2 out of 3 dribbles.

Defensively, he was also active, winning 3 out of 5 ground duels and 1 out of 1 aerial challenge. Barcelona’s official site wrote about the 17-year-old: "A new milestone for Pedro Fernández 'Dro' with FC Barcelona. The midfielder, trained at La Masia, made his official first-team debut against Real Sociedad at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys. At just 17 years old and wearing number 27, he played the entire first half for Barca."
