Coach Anh Đức is the next to step down even though the V-League 2025/2026 has just completed 5 rounds.
On the morning of September 30th, Becamex TP HCM club officially announced the departure of Coach Anh Đức: "After results fell short of expectations, Coach Nguyễn Anh Đức voluntarily submitted his resignation as Head Coach, ending an emotional journey with his hometown team.
Throughout this time, he has devoted himself completely, dedicating his passion and love to this jersey. We sincerely thank the coach and wish him good health, happiness, and much success in his future endeavors."
The split between Coach Anh Đức and Becamex TP HCM was anticipated. After winning in the first round of the V-League, the team from the industrial city then suffered a severe slump with five consecutive losses, including four in the V-League and one in the National Cup.
Once a key figure at the former Becamex Bình Dương, Coach Anh Đức was expected to have a long tenure with the team, shaping a unique identity for the club. Despite having considerable coaching experience—from Long An to assistant coach of the Vietnam national team and leading Bình Phước to second place in the First Division last season—he showed he was still not fully prepared to manage a V-League team.
On his personal Facebook page, Coach Anh Đức shared his reasons for leaving Becamex TP HCM: "Perhaps it’s best to step aside for things to improve. It’s unfortunate that things ended unfinished, but I deeply appreciate and am grateful for the time spent at Becamex TP.HCM. Farewell and best wishes for the team’s continued success ahead."
Thus, after just the first 5 rounds of the V-League 2025/2026, three coaches have already left their posts. Before Coach Anh Đức, Coach Makoto Teguramori was dismissed by Hanoi, and Coach Phan Như Thuật resigned at SLNA. It is currently unclear who will temporarily replace Coach Anh Đức at Becamex TP HCM.
