Coach Nguyễn Anh Đức shares his thoughts on the decision to resign from Becamex TPHCM following a series of poor results.
On his personal page, Coach Anh Đức officially announced his departure from Becamex TPHCM after an unsatisfactory run of matches. The former Vietnamese national player stated:
"Perhaps it’s best to step aside for things to improve. It’s unfortunate that everything is still unfinished, but I deeply appreciate and thank all the days spent at Becamex TP.HCM. Farewell and I wish the team continued success in the journey ahead!"
Coach Anh Đức’s exit from the team in the industrial city is not very surprising. Except for the victory over HAGL in the first round, Becamex TPHCM has lost 5 consecutive matches this season, including 4 in the V-League and 1 in the National Cup. Anh Đức is also the third coach to leave the "hot seat" early this season, following Makoto Teguramori (Hanoi) and Coach Phan Như Thuật (SLNA).
The official website of Becamex TPHCM previously published a farewell article for the former Vietnam national striker. According to the report, Coach Anh Đức voluntarily requested to step down as "head coach": "After results fell short of expectations, Coach Nguyễn Anh Đức proactively submitted his resignation as head coach, ending an emotional journey with his hometown club. Throughout this time, he dedicated himself fully, giving his heart and passion to this jersey.
We sincerely thank the coach, wishing him good health, happiness, and much success in his future endeavors.", Becamex TPHCM announced.
Before the season started, the Bình Dương team lost many key players, including their main striker Nguyễn Tiến Linh. This significantly weakened the team’s strength. Currently, Bình Dương is ranked 12th on the leaderboard with 3 points, just one point ahead of the bottom two teams, HAGL and Thanh Hoá.
