Japanese assistant replaces coach Anh Đức at Becamex TP HCM

Assistant Ueno Nobuhiro is officially registered as the head coach of Becamex TP HCM club.

As previously reported, Becamex TP HCM club has officially announced the departure of coach Anh Đức:"After results fell short of expectations, coach Nguyễn Anh Đức voluntarily submitted his resignation as head coach, ending an emotional journey with his hometown team.

Throughout this period, he has devoted himself fully, pouring his passion and love into this jersey. We sincerely thank the coach and wish him good health, happiness, and great success in his future endeavors."

The sudden departure of coach Anh Đức left Becamex TP HCM little time to find a new head coach immediately. Specifically, Japanese assistant Ueno Nobuhiro was registered as the head coach on paper because he met the licensing requirements.

However, the real authority and direct team management will be handled by Mr. Đặng Trần Chỉnh. Previously, whenever Becamex Bình Dương (now Becamex TP HCM) experienced a sudden coaching change, Mr. Đặng Trần Chỉnh always played the role of "firefighter," temporarily leading the team until a new coach was found. In the near future, Becamex TP HCM will also seek a long-term head coach.

The split between coach Anh Đức and Becamex TP HCM was anticipated. After winning the first round of the V-League, the team from the land of the factory then experienced a severe decline with a streak of five consecutive losses, including four in the V-League and one in the National Cup.

Once a key figure at Becamex Bình Dương (former), coach Anh Đức was expected to stay long-term and build a unique identity for the club. Although he had considerable coaching experience, from Long An to assistant for the Vietnam national team and helping Bình Phước finish second in the First Division last season, when leading a V-League team, coach Anh Đức showed he was still not fully ready.
