The Tai Po club coach reveals plans to play solid defense against the home team CAHN in the second match of ACL Two.
Visiting Hang Day Stadium to face CAHN in the second round of ACL Two, Tai Po’s coach Lee Chi Kin (Hong Kong, China) stated: "We hope to start well tomorrow and strive for the best possible result."
The 58-year-old coach shared that he has reviewed many videos and statistics about Hanoi Police Club and its players: “I am most impressed by Nguyễn Quang Hải from the home side. Hanoi Police is a strong opponent currently in good form. Therefore, in tomorrow’s match, Tai Po will play very tight defense.”
When asked about the squad and preparations, Mr. Lee said the team had just played a match lasting over 120 minutes, decided by penalties in the domestic league. The team has been in Hanoi for more than three days, but heavy rain has significantly affected training plans.
“Recovery depends on many factors. However, regardless of circumstances, we must focus and give our best in all competitions,” the Tai Po head coach expressed.
In their opening match, although not highly rated, Tai Po surprisingly defeated Macarthur (Australia) 2-1, taking the top spot in the group. When asked about this, Coach Lee Chi Kin said that being first after one match means little and there is no basis to consider Tai Po a weak team:
“The journey ahead is long; at this moment, I can only affirm that we will give our all until the final game,”Mr. Lee emphasized.
Also present at the press conference, player Remi Dujadin said: “Every match in the AFC Cup 2 is an opportunity to earn valuable points. I hope our team can leave Hang Day Stadium with at least one point.”
