Coach Mano Polking reaffirmed his commitment to achieving a win over Tai Po Club in the second match of AFC Champions League Two.
On October 1st, Coach Mano Polking and striker Alan attended the press conference ahead of their match against Tai Po Club (Hong Kong, China), scheduled for October 2nd at Hang Day Stadium.
At the start of the conference, the German-Brazilian strategist stated: “As you all know, we drew with Beijing Guoan in our opening match in China. This result was favorable for Beijing Guoan but not ideal for Hanoi Police. For the upcoming game against Tai Po, our clear goal is to win and earn all 3 points to push forward the team’s ambition to advance far in the tournament.”
Coach Polking also showed respect for the opponent, describing Tai Po as a strong, well-organized team that will pose many challenges for his squad.
“I know some coaches and assistants working in Hong Kong-China. I have also studied and gained certain insights into Hong Kong-China football. Tai Po, as a dominant force in the Hong Kong domestic league with many national players, will present significant difficulties, and we must give our best effort. Additionally, the tournament rules allow teams to use up to 7 foreign players. I believe both sides will fully utilize this, making tomorrow’s match very exciting.”,” said Mr. Polking.
When asked about the squad and the form of key players, Coach Polking revealed that not only Viet Anh, Quang Hai, and Van Thanh but also Aodu Minh are currently injured. The absence of these main players will be a major challenge, but he trusts Hanoi Police FC’s squad depth to overcome it, and the second-team players are ready to step in.
As for striker Alan, he affirmed: “With thorough preparation, our objective is to win and progress as far as possible in the Asian Cup.”
