PVF provides up to 9 members in the next Vietnam U17 team assembly list.
Seven players born in 2009 and 2 PVF coaches have been summoned to the Vietnam U17 national team for the second training camp of the year. The PVF team will gather from October 5 to November 30 at the Vietnam Football Federation.
The seven players include: Nguyễn Văn Dương, Nguyễn Ngọc Anh Hào, Nguyễn Huỳnh Đăng Khoa, Trương Nguyễn Duy Khang, Lý Xuân Hòa, Bùi Anh Khoa, and Lê Sỹ Bách. Among them, midfielder Bùi Anh Khoa is making his first appearance for a national youth team. Additionally, there are 2 coaches: assistant Hoàng Tuấn Anh and Trần Văn Điền.
Besides PVF, SLNA also announced 5 players—Phan Đăng Huy, Quán Thành Công, Nguyễn Minh Thủy, Hoàng Minh Lợi, and Trần Ngọc Sơn—called up to Vietnam U17. Although SLNA U17 only reached the quarterfinals of the 2025 Asian U17 Championship, 5 players from the Nghệ An club were still included by coach Cristiano Roland in the preliminary squad preparing for the 2026 U17 Asian qualifiers.
Previously, on August 7, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) held the draw for the 2026 U17 Asian qualifiers. According to the results, Vietnam U17 was placed in Group C, alongside familiar opponents Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong (China), Northern Mariana Islands, and Macau (China).
To prepare for this important campaign, the Vietnam U17 team will assemble at the end of October with a core squad selected from standout performers at the 2025 national U17 tournament. The team is expected to have a training camp in Japan before entering the qualifiers. Earlier, in June 2025, the team participated in an international tournament in China achieving positive results: a 2-1 win over Saudi Arabia, a 2-2 draw with China, and a narrow 1-2 loss to Australia.
Moreover, the Vietnam Football Federation has been granted hosting rights by the AFC for Vietnam U17’s group matches, providing a significant advantage for coach Cristiano Roland’s team.
