Nam Dinh is determined to win the AFC Cup 2 Asia

On the afternoon of October 1st, coach Vu Hong Viet and central defender Lucas Alves took part in the pre-match press conference for the Eastern FC versus Nam Dinh FC game, part of the AFC Champions League Two 2025/26 group stage.

At the start of the conference, coach Vu Hong Viet shared: "The entire team is fully prepared. Through tactical analysis, we have clearly understood the strengths and weaknesses of our opponent.

The pitch at Mong Kok Stadium differs from our home ground. Last year, we played here and experienced certain challenges. However, I believe this is not a major obstacle, and the team still aims for the highest goals," he added.

Agreeing with coach Vu Hong Viet’s view, central defender Lucas stated: "We are very happy to return to the AFC Champions League and especially to play once again at Mong Kok Stadium. However, our team has not changed much. More importantly, with the coaching staff’s strategy, we believe we will win again.

There will be some differences when playing in various competitions, but what matters is that we share a common spirit of determination and victory."

After a successful opening match against Ratchaburi (winning 3-1), coach Vu Hong Viet’s squad is aiming to secure another 3 points to quickly achieve the goal of advancing past the group stage. Eastern Sports Club is considered a manageable opponent for Nam Dinh in this game. They are currently at the bottom of the group without any points.

The match between Eastern FC and Nam Dinh FC will take place at 17:00 (Vietnam time), 18:00 (Hong Kong time) on October 2nd at Mong Kok Stadium.
