Dominating the first half and securing the second, Hanoi FC achieved a 2-0 victory on Da Nang’s turf, surpassing defending champions Nam Dinh and rising to 6th place in the V-League rankings.
From the opening moments, Hanoi demonstrated clear offensive intentions. In the 2nd minute, a cross from the visitors’ right wing created a chance, but Passira misread his teammate’s cue, sending the ball out of play. At the 24th minute, Fernando sprinted powerfully down the right flank and delivered a precise cross, but Văn Quyết missed the shot and Tuấn Hải’s attempt flew over the bar from a favorable position. In the 35th minute, Fernando scored after a through ball from Passira, but the goal was ruled offside, confirmed by VAR.
The turning point occurred at the 40th minute when Hanoi opened the scoring. From a long ball, Passira cleverly shielded the ball from Văn Hưng, crossing for Tuấn Hải to easily tap into the empty net, making it 1-0. Just five minutes later, Hanoi doubled their lead. Đậu Văn Toàn intercepted the ball in midfield, combined with Passira who made a delicate through pass for Fernando to break free and finish sharply into the far corner, beating goalkeeper Văn Biểu.
