Hà Nội loses the top spot in the Women's National Championship

The loss to Thái Nguyên T&T led Hà Nội to lose their leading position in the 2025 Women's National Championship – Thái Sơn Bắc Cup.

The latest match of round 7 featured a clash between Hà Nội and Thái Nguyên T&T. Fielding their strongest lineup, Hà Nội aimed to secure a win to maintain their top ranking. Meanwhile, Thái Nguyên T&T needed three points to keep pace with the medal contenders.

The first half was exciting but ended goalless. In the second half, star players made the difference. In the 58th minute, Mỹ Anh delivered a precise cross for Nguyễn Thị Bích Thùy to finish close-range and open the scoring for Thái Nguyên T&T. Hà Nội pushed forward seeking an equalizer but failed to convert, ultimately accepting a 0-1 defeat and surrendering first place to TP.Hồ Chí Minh I.

In the other match, Than Khoáng Sản Việt Nam (Than KSVN) faced little trouble against TP.Hồ Chí Minh II. At the 20th minute, Phạm Thị Nhâm scored with a precise shot to give Than KSVN the lead.

This marked the start of a successful day for the mining region team. Nguyễn Thị Vạn doubled the lead in the 34th minute before Thúy Hằng extended it to 3-0. Before halftime, Hải Yến added another goal, putting Than KSVN ahead 4-0. No further goals were scored in the second half, and the three points went to Than KSVN.

According to the original schedule, the last two matches between CLB TPHCM II vs Than KSVN and Hà Nội vs Thái Nguyên were set to take place on the afternoon of September 30 at PVF Stadium (Hưng Yên) and Thanh Trì Stadium (Hà Nội), respectively.

However, due to heavy rain, the organizers decided to postpone these matches to ensure proper management. These games were rescheduled to October 1. Earlier, the first match between CLB TPHCM I and Phong Phú Hà Nam was played on September 29, with the southern team securing the win.
