Barcelona lost to PSG with a last-minute goal at the 90th minute.

In the early hours of October 2 (Vietnam time), Barcelona suffered a painful defeat as Paris Saint-Germain came from behind to win 2-1 at Lluis Companys Stadium during the second group stage match of the 2025/26 Champions League.

Playing at home with an almost full-strength squad, Barcelona started with high energy. From the very beginning, Catalan fans kept rising to their feet in response to the fast-paced attacking combinations. In the 18th minute, Marcus Rashford—currently in excellent form—broke down the left wing and delivered a perfect cross for Ferran Torres to tap in close range, giving Barca a 1-0 lead.

This goal marked Rashford’s third consecutive assist in the Champions League and his sixth direct contribution to Barca’s goals across all competitions. Not only did he maintain his impressive performance, but Rashford also showed rapid integration into the Blaugrana squad.

After taking the lead, Barca grew increasingly confident. However, they missed a chance to double the lead when Dani Olmo shot from an open position but was timely blocked by Achraf Hakimi. These missed chances turned out to be a pivotal moment in the unfolding scenario.

Despite missing three key attacking stars—Ousmane Dembele, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Desire Doue—PSG displayed the composure expected of the reigning European champions. Fullbacks Hakimi and Nuno Mendes constantly pushed forward, making a difference with their speed and breakthrough ability.
