The V-League has not yet mandated that coaches must hold a Pro license.

Although lacking a Pro license, Coach Đặng Trần Chỉnh remains officially registered as the head coach of Becamex TP HCM.

As previously reported, Becamex TP HCM announced their separation from Coach Anh Đức after just the first five rounds of the V-League. The split between Coach Anh Đức and Becamex TP HCM was anticipated. After winning the first round, the team from the industrial city experienced a severe decline, suffering five consecutive defeats, including four in the V-League and one in the National Cup.

Initially, there were reports that Japanese assistant coach Ueno Nobuhiro would take over as head coach of Becamex TP HCM because he holds the required Pro license. However, the actual control of the team would remain with Coach Đặng Trần Chỉnh.

According to an official announcement from VPF, Mr. Đặng Trần Chỉnh has been formally registered as the head coach of Becamex TP HCM, replacing Mr. Nguyễn Anh Đức, and is eligible to perform his duties from October 1, 2025.

This is information quite surprising since Mr. Đặng Trần Chỉnh only holds an A-level coaching license, while this season VPF requires coaches to have a Pro license. However, it has been found that the organizers will still allow A-license holders to serve as head coaches for the 2025/26 season instead of requiring a Pro license as initially planned.

Whenever Becamex Bình Dương (now Becamex TP HCM) has undergone sudden coaching changes, Mr. Đặng Trần Chỉnh has always played the role of interim coach, temporarily leading the team until a new head coach is found. In the near future, Becamex TP HCM will look for a permanent head coach.

Once a key figure at Becamex Bình Dương, Coach Anh Đức was expected to have a long-term commitment with the team to build a distinctive identity. Despite having coaching experience with several teams—from Long An to assistant coach for the Vietnam national team and leading Bình Phước to second place last season in the First Division—Coach Anh Đức showed he was not yet fully prepared to lead a V-League team.
