Before welcoming Nam Dinh in the AFC Champions League 2, the head coach of Eastern FC confirmed that the team will make full use of their home field advantage, give their all for the supporters, and aim for a favorable outcome.
On the afternoon of October 2nd, Vietnam’s Nam Dinh club will travel to Mong Kok Stadium to face the home team Eastern FC in the AFC Champions League 2 group stage. This marks the first home match for the Hong Kong representative this year, carrying significant importance both mentally and competitively.
During the pre-match press conference, head coach Roberto Losada Rodriguez and vice-captain Luong Quan Thong shared the team’s preparations and determination. Coach Losada stated: “The AFC Champions League 2 is a competition that helps us learn and grow. Facing a team from Vietnam is a completely new challenge. Nevertheless, the whole squad will fight with all their might for the fans. We will fully exploit the home advantage to trouble our opponents and aim for a favorable result.”
Nam Dinh is regarded as a strong opponent with a cohesive playing style, but Coach Losada believes the crowd’s support will boost his players’ morale. He emphasized that team spirit is the key for the Hong Kong side to pursue victory.
Meanwhile, vice-captain Luong Quan Thong expressed strong determination: “This is our first home game, so we have prepared thoroughly to take the field with the best spirit and attitude. Although the match starts at 6 PM (Hong Kong time), which might make live cheering less convenient for fans, we will still give our utmost to repay their support.”
He also expressed pride in representing the club at the continental level: “Representing Hong Kong football in the Asian arena is a great honor. With my experience, I will continue to lead my teammates forward, proving the team’s capability and resilience.”
The match between home team Eastern FC and Nam Dinh is expected to be exciting as both sides are highly motivated: Nam Dinh aims to assert their status as Vietnam’s representative, while the Hong Kong team is eager to capitalize on their home advantage to earn their first points.
