Coach Luu Danh Minh remains trusted by Head Coach Kim Sang Sik to serve as an assistant coach for the Vietnam national team.
According to information from the PVF Youth Football Training Center, Coach Luu Danh Minh will participate as an assistant coach in Vietnam’s two matches during the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers (against Nepal at home on October 9 and away on October 14). The Vietnamese strategist has been accompanying Head Coach Kim Sang Sik and the coaching staff of the Vietnam national team in various major and minor tournaments recently.
Previously, Coach Luu Danh Minh served as an assistant for the Vietnam national team under Head Coach Park Hang Seo. He has always been highly regarded by the head coaches of the teams for his sense of responsibility and dedication to his work.
The Vietnam national team will regroup starting October 4 in Ho Chi Minh City to prepare for the two matches against Nepal. The first leg will take place at Go Dau Stadium on October 9, while the second leg will be held at Thong Nhat Stadium (Ho Chi Minh City) on October 14, 2025.
Earlier, Head Coach Kim Sang Sik announced a list of 24 players for this training camp. Against a manageable opponent like Nepal, the Korean strategist gave opportunities to 8 players from the U23 squad including: Dinh Bac, Thanh Nhan, Phi Hoang, Xuan Bac, Van Khang, Hieu Minh, Nhat Minh, and Tran Trung Kien. Additionally, two other young players, Van Viet and Gia Hung, were also included.
Since the official registered list is 23 players, before the first match, the Korean coach will have to cut one player from the squad.
