Tottenham's top striker speaks out after suffering a serious injury

Forward Dominic Solanke has reassured fans by confirming that his ankle surgery was successful, raising hopes for a swift return to play for Tottenham.

Dominic Solanke, Tottenham’s £65 million signing, recently announced on his personal page that his ankle operation went well. The English star expressed gratitude to supporters for their encouraging messages and affirmed he will be back on the pitch soon.

“Hello everyone, I want to give a quick update on my current situation. The past few months have been really tough as I tried everything to overcome my ankle issue before deciding on surgery. Nothing else worked, so I had to go under the knife this morning. Fortunately, the operation was successful, and I hope to return soon. Thank you all for the love and support,” Solanke shared this on his Instagram Story, accompanied by a photo of him resting in a hospital bed.

The 28-year-old striker suffered the injury during preseason and has not played for Tottenham since their 2-0 Premier League victory over Man City in August. Although he resumed training two weeks ago, persistent pain forced him to undergo minor surgery for a complete recovery.

Due to this operation, Solanke missed the 2-2 Champions League draw against Bodo/Glimt and will also be absent for the upcoming away match at Leeds this weekend. Coach Thomas Frank said the team will provide a clearer timeline for Solanke’s return after the October international break and emphasized that the club did not “waste” the past month of treatment.

“If we had known surgery was necessary earlier, we would have done it sooner. But no one wants to go under the knife, even for a minor procedure. We handled it the way we believed was best,” Coach Frank explained.

He is currently listed as a long-term injury alongside key players like Randal Kolo Muani, Dejan Kulusevski, JaXin chào mọi người, tôi muốn cập nhật nhanh về tình hình hiện tại.
