Coach Mano Polking was pleased with CAHN's 3-0 win against Tai Po and clarified the reason behind Quang Hải's absence.
In the second match of Group E in the 2025/26 AFC Champions League Two, CAHN celebrated a 3-0 win over Tai Po, with China scoring twice and Phan Văn Đức sealing the game in the 89th minute.
At the post-match press conference, Coach Mano Polking commented: "Tai Po started well, creating two notable chances early on, but we were fortunate not to concede. After that, we regained control of the match. I am very satisfied with the result, the team's performance, and their unity."
The German-Brazilian coach also praised number 30, China, who scored twice: "I am very happy with China's performance. Like Nam Định, it’s tough to decide who to field when competing on three fronts. Internationally, I always encourage the players, and they maintain good fitness. China works very hard in training, and this is a well-deserved outcome for him."
Notably, when asked about Quang Hải's absence, Mr. Polking stated: "Quang Hải is still recovering from an injury sustained in the previous match. I discussed with him that if it’s not essential, especially when the match is already favorable, he can rest and give others a chance. Quang Hải will have time to conserve energy for the national team. As you know, the Vietnamese National Team has two important upcoming matches against Nepal, and Quang Hải is a key player for the team."
Joining Head Coach Mano Polking at the press conference was striker Leo Artur. When asked if he felt upset about not scoring in two consecutive matches, the Brazilian player affirmed: "I'm not upset; the most important thing is the team's result and performance. I still score in the V-League and have no reason to be unhappy. The priority remains the team's success and achievements."
