According to statistics, Ninh Bình FC has reached a milestone of 30 consecutive matches without defeat (counting only the official 90 minutes of play). Before the match on October 2nd, only two teams in Asia maintained the longest unbeaten runs: Ninh Bình FC (Vietnam) and Arkadag (Turkmenistan).

However, early this morning, Arkadag lost 0-2 in the AFC Champions League Two, ending their unbeaten streak at 29 games. This means Ninh Bình FC officially becomes the team with the longest unbeaten streak in Asia.
Previously, Ninh Bình and Arkadag continuously competed for the leading position over many weeks, before the Turkmenistan club faltered, creating an opportunity for the Hoa Lư capital city club to advance.
Ninh Bình’s coach Gerard Albadalejo shared after the draw with Viettel: “Thể Công Viettel is a very well-organized team; they maintain a clear structure, always keeping two connected lines of four players. Unfortunately, we failed to score a second goal to close out the match. Our adjustments today did not work effectively, we made mistakes and Viettel took advantage to equalize.
Indeed, we feel regretful for not winning, but the entire team must learn from this. To be sure of taking all three points, we must score a second goal. Đức Chiến fought with all his might, contributing both while playing in midfield and when pulled back to center-back to initiate play from the back. This was a difficult match for Đức Chiến since he once played for Viettel, but he gave his utmost effort. We congratulate him and believe the whole team will continue to improve further.”
