The VFF is assisting Thai Nguyen province in organizing the 2025 Four Kings Football Tournament at the newly completed Thai Nguyen Stadium.
On the afternoon of October 2, a delegation from the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), led by General Secretary Nguyen Van Phu, held a meeting with the leadership of Thai Nguyen province to discuss and coordinate plans for supporting the organization of the 2025 Four Kings Football Tournament.
Attending the meeting were Mr. Bui Van Luong – Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province, representatives from various departments and relevant agencies of the province, and representatives from the four clubs participating in the 2025 Four Kings Football Tournament: CAND, Hanoi T&T, The Cong Viettel, and Hoang Anh Gia Lai.
During the meeting, the VFF representative, General Secretary Nguyen Van Phu, praised Thai Nguyen province’s thorough and professional preparations, affirming that the new stadium meets the standards for hosting national competitions. He also stated that the VFF will closely collaborate with the province’s specialized agencies to finalize the tournament regulations, manage media coverage, and contribute to the tournament’s successful execution.
Prior to this, local leaders and the VFF delegation conducted an on-site inspection of the construction progress of Thai Nguyen Stadium, reviewing all aspects such as the turf, stands, sound and lighting systems, functional rooms, technical areas, security, fire safety, and emergency exits.
The inauguration ceremony of the stadium and the opening of the 2025 Four Kings Football Tournament – Thai Nguyen are scheduled for December 21. This event is part of the activities celebrating the success of the first Provincial Party Congress of Thai Nguyen for the 2025-2030 term; it also leads up to the 14th National Party Congress and commemorates the 81st anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People’s Army (December 22, 1944 – December 22, 2025).
Thai Nguyen Stadium is a key sports facility with a seating capacity of 22,000, the largest in the Northern Midlands and Mountainous region, and is expected to become an ideal venue for hosting important national and international cultural, sports, and tourism events in the near future.
