After 120 years, an English Premier League club sets an incredible record

Crystal Palace made history with a 2-0 victory over Dynamo Kyiv in the Conference League, extending their unbeaten streak to 19 matches, a new record since the club's founding 120 years ago.

Crystal Palace has written a new chapter by winning 2-0 against Dynamo Kyiv in their UEFA Conference League debut. This not only marks their first three points in European competition but also signifies a special milestone: the South London club officially broke a 120-year-old unbeaten record with 19 consecutive matches without defeat across all competitions.

In the away match, Daniel Munoz and newcomer Eddie Nketiah scored to secure a full victory for Crystal Palace. This result lifted coach Oliver Glasner’s team to a 19-match unbeaten run in all competitions, surpassing the previous record of 18 matches set under coach Bert Head in 1969. This is the longest streak in the club’s history since its establishment in 1905.

Palace’s unbeaten run began after a heavy 0-5 defeat to Newcastle on April 16. Since then, they have recorded 11 wins and 8 draws, demonstrating a complete transformation under Glasner’s leadership. The Austrian coach has given the Eagles a fresh identity: disciplined play, team cohesion, and maximum efficiency in seizing opportunities.

The victory over Dynamo Kyiv was even more impressive as Palace played with one less player in the final minutes.
