Vinicius receives bad news in La Liga

Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior is experiencing a significant drop in market value due to unstable form and shifts in the tactical system that are causing him to lose his standing at Bernabeu.

At 25 years old, Vinicius was expected to be Real Madrid’s main attacking threat. However, this season he has only scored 3 goals and provided 4 assists in 9 appearances. Although these contributions are still notable, many believe his goal-scoring output does not meet the expectations placed on a top-tier star of the royal club.

According to Transfermarkt data, Vinicius’s market value has dropped significantly in less than a year. In December 2024, he was valued at 200 million Euros, ranking among the world’s most expensive players. By June 2025, this figure fell to 170 million Euros, and currently stands at only 150 million Euros, marking a 50 million Euro decrease after two consecutive adjustments.

Blaseio, head of market valuation at La Liga, explains the reasons: “Vinicius lost part of his reputation after not securing the Ballon d’Or a year ago. On the pitch, his role has also shifted as Real Madrid entered a new phase under a new coach, meaning he is no longer the central figure in the system as before.”

Besides professional factors, fierce competition within Real Madrid’s squad has also contributed to reducing the Brazilian’s influence. The emergence of young talents alongside consistent performances from other stars means Vinicius no longer holds an untouchable position.

Nevertheless, his importance to Real Madrid cannot be denied. His speed, dribbling skills, and explosive moments in critical situations still make Vinicius one of the most dangerous players in La Liga. In the Champions League, he frequently acts as the key to unlocking goals for Los Blancos in high-pressure games.

Despite the decline in market value, Real Madrid still considers Vinicius a strategic long-term asset. With youth and potential on his side, he can fully regain form and prove himself again. However, to restore his value, the Brazilian needs to maintain consistent goal-scoring and rediscover the spark that once made him one of the world’s most exciting stars.

Vinicius’s market value drop might be temporary, but it serves as a warning about the pressure to sustain top-level performance at Real Madrid — where every player must prove their worth week after week.
