The Vietnam U17 women's team has finalized a list of 23 players for the 2026 U17 Women's Asian Championship qualifying round – Group D.
After returning from their training camp in Germany, the Vietnam U17 women's team resumed practice at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center. Today (October 3), the coaching staff officially announced the 23-player roster for the 2026 U17 Women's Asian Championship qualifiers – Group D.
Immediately afterward, the entire team traveled to Binh Duong, Ho Chi Minh City to acclimate to the local weather, facilities, and stadium conditions in preparation for the upcoming crucial matches.
The 2026 U17 Women's Asian Championship qualifiers – Group D will take place from October 13 to October 17, 2025, at Go Dau Stadium (Thu Dau Mot, Ho Chi Minh City), featuring three teams: Vietnam, Guam, and Hong Kong (China). The teams will compete in a single round-robin format, with the group winner advancing to the 2026 U17 Women's Asian Championship final tournament. According to the schedule, Vietnam will face Guam on October 13 and Hong Kong on October 17, both matches starting at 4:00 PM.
The 2026 U17 Women's Asian Championship final is scheduled from April 30 to May 17, 2026, in China, featuring 12 teams: 8 qualifiers and 4 directly qualified teams including North Korea, Japan, South Korea, and China. This tournament is especially significant as it also serves as the qualification for the 2026 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup.
During the recent training period, including a two-week camp in Germany and intensive sessions at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center, the players have undergone comprehensive development in fitness, technical skills, and tactics.
