Quang Hải continues to miss the call-up for the Vietnam national team.

Quang Hải will not be able to participate in the Vietnam national team’s October 2025 FIFA Days gathering to prepare for the two matches against Nepal in the final round of the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers due to his right shoulder injury not yet fully healed.

According to the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), on October 3rd, one day before the scheduled training, Quang Hải underwent an MRI scan to determine the extent of his injury. The results showed that the midfielder needs more time to rest to ensure proper recovery.

Head coach Kim Sang Sik agreed with the doctor’s recommendation and reported to the VFF leadership the decision to exclude Quang Hải from this training camp, while encouraging the Hanoi Police FC captain to concentrate on treatment.

Coach Kim Sang Sik also did not call up any replacement players, keeping the current squad size at 23, which matches the number registered to compete according to regulations.

Previously, the injury caused Quang Hải to miss three international matches with Hanoi Police FC in the AFC Champions League Two and the 2025/26 Southeast Asian Club Championship, as well as the national team’s FIFA Days camp in September.

As planned, today (October 4th), the Vietnam national team officially gathers in Ho Chi Minh City. Coach Kim Sang Sik’s team has five days to train before the first leg against Nepal at 7:30 PM on October 9th at Gò Đậu Stadium (Thủ Dầu Một, Ho Chi Minh City). The second leg will be held at 7:30 PM on October 14th at Thống Nhất Stadium (Ho Chi Minh City).

The organizing committee has announced ticket sales for these two matches with prices of 200,000 VND and 400,000 VND. Tickets are exclusively available online through the OneU app (formerly VinID) in two phases: from September 29th to October 5th and from October 6th to 7th, or until sold out. Additionally, tickets will be sold directly at the Gò Đậu and Thống Nhất stadium ticket counters starting October 4th.
