Patrik Lê Giang was born in 1992 in Slovakia, with a Vietnamese father and a Slovak mother. He holds a Slovak passport and currently resides temporarily in Phu Nhuan district (Ho Chi Minh City). This goalkeeper entered Vietnam on January 25, 2023, and is currently playing for Ho Chi Minh City Police in the V.League.
The proposal to grant citizenship to Patrik Lê Giang is based on the recommendation of head coach Kim Sang-sik and the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).
